Battlefield Study
One of the activities I do alongside, and as part of, my leadership and coaching portfolio, is battlefield guiding. The battlefield provides lessons across the leadership, character and values spectrum, and across cultures. It offers an outstanding, meaningful and reflective learning venue.
I started battlefield guiding in 2014, and 10 years in I am a qualified, experienced and sought-after battlefield guide. I use training, mentoring and coaching best practice, alongside my 20 years as an infantry officer, to deliver stand-out battlefield experiences to military, commercial, school and family groups. For families, a visit to a relative’s battlefield provides a unique and meaningful opportunity to connect with their family history. This bridges generations and can provide a deeply moving family experience.
I am an accredited member of the International Guild of Battlefield Guides and hold a Masters Degree in Military Strategic Studies.
All of these battlefield studies and tours are designed collaboratively with the project team or family to ensure that learning objectives and desired experiences are met and enjoyed
I cover the European British and Commonwealth battlefields of the First and Second World Wars and the Soviet Operation Berlin of 1945.
